Fraser, Peter
A paper plane, a polystyrene cup and red wall cables are among the mundane everyday objects photographed in Peter Fraser's Nazraeli, 2006 and Lost for Words, 2010 series. Fraser's glossy large-scale photographs transform conventional views of these overlooked objects. A different strategy is adopted with each series, though the underlying preoccupations remain consistent, as he explains: 'this is essentially trying to understand what the world around is made of through the art of photographing it.'
