London Senses and Experiences
Ben Uri Gallery, London
3 July - 5 August 2007
London Senses and Experiences was held at the Ben Uri Gallery in St John’s Wood. It focused on artists associated with the School of London, many of whom have Jewish connections.
The Arts Council Collection lent eighteen works by Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Lucian Freud, R B Kitaj, Leon Kossoff and Euan Uglow to this show; these were mainly works on paper and smaller glazed paintings.
Arts Council Collection works were augmented by works from the Ben Uri’s own collection, as well as other private collections.
London Senses and Experiences exhibition was accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue with introductory essay by Richard Cork.
