This event took place on 16 May 2015 and coincided with the exhibition 'Making It: Sculpture in Britain 1977-1986' at Longside Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park (1 April - 21 June 2015). The artist Tony Cragg participated in an in-conversation event with Dr Jon Wood, co-curator of the exhibition. Cragg is one of the UK’s leading sculptors, internationally recognised for his extensive investigation into our relationship with the material world. Since first rising to prominence in the late 1970s, for his painstaking arrangements of found plastic objects on the gallery wall and floor, Cragg has gone on to test the limits of a vast range of materials from wood, stone, glass, aluminium and cast bronze and iron.
