Anish Kapoor Flashback opens at Edinburgh College of Art

05 August 2011

4 August – 4 September 2011

This exhibition brings together two works – one early piece and a major recent sculpture – selected by the artist in close dialogue with the Arts Council Collection to be displayed in the Sculpture Court at Edinburgh College of Art. White Sand, Red Millet, Many Flowers (1982) demonstrates Kapoor’s early interest in applying raw pigment to a range of organic forms. Untitled (2010), on loan from the artist, is a monumental blood-red wax bell form standing over five metres tall, displayed for the first time in the UK.

The Arts Council Collection is the UK's most widely seen collection of modern and contemporary art.
