Two-day curators' day in Folkestone and Margate a great success

10 August 2011

Approximately 20 curators from around the country joined the two-day curators’ day visit to Folkestone and Margate in July. Following an introduction by director Andrea Schlieker, we were guided around the Folkestone Triennial and saw new commissions by Hew Locke, A K Dolven, Charles Avery, Zineb Sedira, Olivia Plender and Cornelia Parker. The next day we travelled to Margate where we saw the stunning new Turner Contemporary gallery and listened to talks by director Victoria Pomery and curators Sarah Martin and Lauren Wright .
