Grace Schwindt
Grace Schwindt works across different themes and stories and also across different media including film, live performance, sculpture and drawing. All of her works are connected by topics such as the fragility of the body, the importance of objects in the construction of memory and history, and the influence of capitalism on society. Many of her works examine aspects of historical events with an emphasis on social relations. Different areas of the artists practice are employed, connected and intertwined; shapes from costumes reappear in drawings while sculptures, like 'Position', echo performative gestures.
